BP was able to stop a small portion of the oil flowing into the Gulf of Mexico, last weekend. This was the only successful attempt to stop the leak till now but its not a permanent solution. Earlier option was containment dome, which didn’t work out.

Recent attempt was described by BP in detail here

They inserted a pipe of four inch diameter into the hole of 21 inch diameter, from where oil is leaking.

Ever since Steve Jobs wrote his thoughts on Flash, Adobe is trying to come up with new ways to reduce the damage done to flash by Steve’s thoughts.

Either its Adobe’s Ad campaign WE LOVE APPLE

or a new Flash Player preview release, code-named “GALA”, which introduces support for H.264 video hardware decoding on Mac OS X 10.6.3, the most recent release of Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

They are only available from Adobe, and Adobe has sole authority as to their future enhancement, pricing, etc. While Adobe’s Flash products are widely available, this does not mean they are open, since they are controlled entirely by Adobe and available only from Adobe.
